Newton Aycliffe Police Update

🚨 𝗡𝗘𝗪𝗧𝗢𝗡 𝗔𝗬𝗖𝗟𝗜𝗙𝗙𝗘 𝗣𝗢𝗟𝗜𝗖𝗘 𝗨𝗣𝗗𝗔𝗧𝗘 🚨

Good evening, I hope this finds you well!

Here’s a brief overview of what we have been up to over the past week;

🚔 On Monday morning, officers from the Neighbourhood Team arrested a male who was wanted for several shoplifting offences. The male was later remanded to appear at court.

🚓 On Monday afternoon, a vehicle was seized by colleagues at the Durham Road and Armed Policing Unit, following a short pursuit for a vehicle not being insured.

📃 On Tuesday morning, PCSO Kipling attended the local Pubwatch meeting. Seven people were added to the Pubwatch banning scheme following incidents over the past month.

👨‍🏫 Also on Tuesday, PCSOs attended Byerley Park Primary School, giving talks to students on Bullying and Internet Safety.

🚗 On Tuesday evening, PC Tyers had a successful vehicle stop, where a male was arrested for possession of cannabis, and for failing a drugs wipe.

👮 Several people were arrested for numerous offences following an incident on Eskdale Place on Wednesday night. You can read more about that on our previous post.
 

🚨 On Thursday afternoon, a female was arrested on suspicion of assault, following a domestic related report.

👏 On Thursday evening, response colleagues responded to a call for concern for a male. Within 15 minutes, the male was located safe and received the appropriate support.

👮‍♀️ On Saturday morning, a male was arrested for being Drunk & Disorderly, and for being in possession of a controlled drug.

🗣️ On Saturday, three males were cautioned by Neighbourhood Sgt Crawford for various offences.

🌹 On Sunday, officers from the Neighbourhood Team attended the Remembrance Day Parade, with Neighbourhood Inspector Jassat laying a wreath on behalf of Newton Aycliffe Police.
